    A travel publishing house Carta Blanca organized a photo contest on its Internet site in the frame of promoting interesting places in Poland. The contest’s aim was to encourage amateur photographers to add their most interesting pictures of Poland to a specially prepared contest gallery. The publishing house contacted fotosik.pl, the largest Polish free photo hosting website, and asked to prepare a mailing action in the data base of their users.

  • Let your subscribers update the database on their own

    The databases used for email messaging usually contain various bits of information about the recipients (apart from their email addresses). Frequently, these are demographical data that enable targeting of campaigns, or post addresses. Each database should be regularly updated. It requires direct contact with recipients; as such, it is painstaking and costly. However, there is a way to steer clear of this problem.

    The appearance of an email is very important when its efficiency or promotional newsletter appeal is at stake. It is not enough to work on its nice design, and send it out. It is important to make sure all email contents is displayed properly – in other words, to make sure that the email looks the way we want it to look with most of email clients. We used the phrase “most of”, as we will never succeed completely due to differences in functionalities of various email software.
