Email graphics and CSS

The appearance of an email is very important when its efficiency or promotional newsletter appeal is at stake. It is not enough to work on its nice design, and send it out. It is important to make sure all email contents is displayed properly – in other words, to make sure that the email looks the way we want it to look with most of email clients. We used the phrase “most of”, as we will never succeed completely due to differences in functionalities of various email software.

SARE enables sending emails with graphics in two ways. One of them is to send emails with graphics attached (MIME mails). The (coded) graphic files used in email design are attached to the email, and then they are sent with the HTML code, accountable for the message contents and graphic layout.
More and more often, CSS markers are used in graphic layout. Quite frequently, url(file_name) helps complete that objective. This method is correct, however… email software is not always compatible with CSS markers. To cut a long story short, when we decide to send emails with graphics attached, we should avoid CSS linking.
