IAB Forum is over

Last week was marked with the most important Internet conference of the year – IAB Forum. This event we would evaluate as “good” (B grade, if you prefer) – both for its organization and content. Varied programme and fine choice of presenters has ensured the audience of more than 650 people.

On the first day, overseas guests were the main presenters, and among them Marvin Liao of Yahoo! was conspicuous. A surprisingly good knowledge of Polish market resulted in an interesting presentation “E-map Of The World: Where Is Poland”. In Marvin’s opinion, were are one of six most competitive Internet markets in the world, and even Yahoo! find it difficult to fine-tune their plans to enter the Polish market. The second guest worth mentioning was David Eriksson of North Kingdom. He described his work at one of the most well-known interactive agencies in the world, and he shared the stories from behind-the-scenes of the development of Get the Glass

The next day was filled with Polish presenters, and their presentations were divided into two parts: for marketers and for the business. Unfortunately, the latter was not too popular; the attendance at the former exceeded all expectations. In the case studies part, we presented email marketing activities we have been carrying out with IKEA – for their loyalty programme IKEA Family. Soon, we will publish here materials from that presentation. Before that, please have a look at the photographs from the Forum.
