Microsoft prepares Office 2010
Work on new Microsoft Office 2010 is in progress. It is already known that new Outlook will use Word engine for creating and rendering messages. Microsoft will use Word instead of Internet Explorer, explaining this is being done for security reasons, and to simplify the use and add more edit functions. Let us remind that for the first time Internet Explorer engine was given up by Outlook 2007 for the sake of Word. At that time, many users considered it a regression, many even thought this was the programming mistake.
The solution has many opponents who organised a protest on Twitter. We share the negative opinion. Users would like to use i.e. CSS styles when sending newsletters so as the messages looked similarly to company websites. Additionally, if an email has been prepared with some other software, reading that email in Word may be significantly less comfortable.
The final version of Microsoft Office 2010 and its related products will be available in the first half of 2010.
